Y EARLY LEARNING CENTER Program Overview



The YMCA of Greater San Antonio Early Learning Center programs provide infant, toddler and preschool child care with developmentally appropriate learning activities. The purpose of the Early Childhood Program is to provide affordable child care in an environment where children are free to explore, experience, inquire, and discover while developing their maximum potential. The YMCA  programs are licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. The programs serve working families at all income levels. Monthly tuition and annual family membership fees apply. Tuition assistance is available through the YMCA Open Doors Scholarship Program. YMCA is a CCS vendor.



All four of the the YMCA of Greater San Antonio preschool programs are licensed by:

  • Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (TDPRS)

 Our purpose is to provide young children with full day care in a pre-planned, positive environment, designed to enhance the whole child, nurturing the needs of each child's spirit, mind and body. 

YMCA programs provide children with experiences that encourage:

  • School readiness
  • Social interaction with peer and adults
  • Self expression and communication
  • Positive self esteem and self image
  • Large and small muscle development
  • Intellectual growth

We accept applications for enrollment without regard to ethnicity, religion, color, sex, national origin, marital status or political belief.
