Taking Action & Changing Odds
The YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program helps adults at risk of developing type 2 diabetes adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles. Participants will work together in small groups to learn about healthier eating and increasing their physical activity to reduce their risk of developing diabetes.
Over the course of 1-year participants will meet for 1-hour sessions and cover topics of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and the Mental Aspect of Change with a YMCA certified Lifestyle Coach. Program is FREE for those who qualify.
