People engage with the Y on one level, but soon find a deeper purpose in their activities and a meaningful connection to those around them. You see everywhere at the Y, serving as a coach in sports, being a Y ambassador, reading to our children, supporting our participants with disabilities, and more. We also have plenty of opportunities for your business, church, or nonprofit to volunteer together.

Youth Sports Opportunities
 

Youth Sports Coach - Make a difference in the life of a child or teenager by teaching them skills for games and for life. To find out how to become a Volunteer Sports Coach, please contact Demetrius Hopson, demetriush@ymcasatx.org 


Sports Fields Clean Up and Improvements Day - Volunteer to help the Youth Sports Department and local coaches between seasons to clean up and improve the facilities for families. Typical days would include fixing baseball fields, moving soccer goals, helping maintain equipment etc. Please contact Demetrius Hopson, demetriush@ymcasatx.org .


Inclusive Sports - Inclusive Sports is a program created through a partnership between Morgan's Wonderland Sports and The YMCA of Greater San Antonio to bring opportunities for individuals with intellectual, physical, developmental disabilities to play sports through our various venues and leagues.   SHOW MORE: With the addition of a fully-inclusive baseball field at Mays Family YMCA Stone Oak and the new Morgan's Wonderland Sports Complex, crossover competitions can become an ongoing experience for kids.
