Register for the 2023-2024 School Year
Registration for the 2023-2024 La Vernia ISD afterschool program opens on April 17, 2023.
As you know, next year school will be Monday – Thursday with no school on Friday.
To help serve the families in the La Vernia ISD, the YMCA has partnered with the school district to offer two programs in the 2023-2024 school year.
Afterschool Monday thru Friday – Ages 4-13
The program runs from 3:40 pm to 6:30 pm Monday – Friday. If you register for afterschool, it will include the full day on Friday from 7:25 am to 6:30 pm. On Fridays, if your student is currently receiving bus services, the school district will provide morning transportation. You can sign up for transportation by selecting it during our registration process or contacting the transportation department. The district will also provide breakfast and lunch on Friday and the YMCA will provide an afternoon snack daily. The rate will be $85 per week.
**If you require transportation, you must be enrolled at least 5 days in advance to allow time for transportation to be arranged.
Register for Afterschool Monday – Friday
Friday Only Care: Ages 4 - 13
The program runs Friday Only from 7:25 am to 3:40 pm. If your student is currently receiving bus services, the school district will provide morning and afternoon transportation like a normal school day. You can sign up for transportation by selecting it during our registration process or contacting the transportation department. The district will provide breakfast and lunch and the YMCA will provide an afternoon snack.
Currently, La Vernia ISD will financially support at least 300 students with an option for additional students based upon a mutual agreement between La Vernia ISD and YMCA. The first 300 slots will be filled as fully completed applications are received and processed. Once your child's application has been processed, we will send you an email letting you know your child’s status in the program.
