Best Summer Ever

To deliver on the Y’s commitment to nurturing the potential of every child, our program helps campers discover what they are passionate about, form healthy relationships, and obtain a sense of belonging.

Summer camp at the Y invites youth to be inspired through creative play, field trips, sports, and more. It is an opportunity for youth to stay engaged socially and academically.

The Y’s door is open to all, regardless of age, ability, faith, gender or income, will have the opportunity to experience camp. The Y offers financial assistance to families who may otherwise not be able to afford to send their child to camp.
 


REGISTRATION INFORMATION

2019 Summer Day Camp Registration Starts March 4

• Cost: $147 Per Week 

• July 4th week camp will only be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday |

  Cost: Members: $98 | Non-Members: $110

• Drop-In registration will be considered if space is available.

• Register Online or at your local Y's Welcome Center.

• $15 non-refundable / non-transferable deposit per week of registration

• Financial Assistance is available through our Open Doors Scholarship

Weekly Themes

Week 1: June 3-June 7 We are Family
This week will be filled with getting to know the campers, introducing our staff and building relationships. Friendship bracelets, camp flags, ice breaker games, etc. will run throughout this week.

Week 2: June 10-14 Y-FIT
During this week, campers will learn the importance of nutrition, as well as exercise.

Week 3: June 17- June 21 The “Magic” Of Camp
This week, we will implement “magical” activities and STEM projects for our kids to do. As well as implement themes, such as Harry Potter, Wizards, etc.

Week 4: June 24- June 28 Shark Week
This week will be filled with “marine” life activities, games, and art projects! Games such as sharks and minnows, art projects such as creating shark teeth for our little ones, and activities such as making the ocean and the way you see it with supplies such as gel, glitter, etc.

Week 5: July 1-July 3 Party in the U.S.A.
It will only be a 3 day long week. However, we will be celebrating the 4th of July with Red, White, & Blue arts, activities and games.

Week 6: July 8- July 12 Color Wars
We will be going to be a competition between our campers this week! We will be splitting our camp evenly between all age groups and create activities to compete against one another. Fun & safe games for campers and staff to be involved in

Week 7: July 15- July 19 Cartoony Creations
Not only will kids be able to do superhero activities, but they will also be able to create activities with characters such as Spongebob, Fortnite, Paw Patrols, etc.
 

Week 8: July 22- July 26 Rockstar Extravaganza
Campers always enjoy a good talent show! Our campers and staff will be able to show off some of their talents, skills, or dance moves during this week.

Week 9: July 29- August 2 Natural Wonders
Campers will use nature and its wonders in order to make art projects, STEM activities and spend time outside playing games.

Week 10: August 5- August 9 Treasure Hunters
This week our campers and staff will be on a mission! Throughout the week, our campers will be sent on different missions such as scavenger hunts in order to find the camp treasure.

Week 11: August 12- August 16 Camp Rewind
AKA Campers Choice! This week our campers will be able to take a look back on camp and choose their favorite activity to do for the day.

Week 12: August 19- August 23 See You Next Summer!
This will be a bittersweet moment for campers and staff. During this week campers look back on all the fun they had this summer. Campers will participate in making friendship bracelets, autograph books, or even sign each other's old t-shirts!
 

CAMP FACTS

• Y Summer Day Camp is for children ages 5-13 

• All sites are TDFPS or TDH licensed

• All staff pass drug screening & background checks

• All staff are CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens Certified

• Child must be signed in and out daily by a parent or guardian with ID

• Morning & afternoon snack provided 

• Lunch is provided at several sites through the USDA Summer Food Program - check the website for locations 

• Your child will be busy all day, please leave all valuables at home including but not limited to cell phones, electronics, iPods, trading cards, etc
