Best Summer Ever

To deliver on the Y’s commitment to empowering the potential of every child, our program helps campers discover what they are passionate about, form healthy relationships, and obtain a sense of belonging.

Summer camp at the Y invites youth to be inspired through creative play, field trips, sports, and more. It is an opportunity for young people to stay engaged socially and academically.

The Y’s door is open to all, regardless of age, ability, faith, gender or income, will have the opportunity to experience camp. The Y offers financial assistance to families who may otherwise not be able to afford to send their child to camp.
 


REGISTRATION INFORMATION

2020 Summer Day Camp Registration Starts March 2

• Cost: $152 Per Week 

• July 4th week camp will only be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

  Cost: Members: $113 | Non-Members: $123

• Drop-In registration will be considered if space is available.

• Register Online or at your local Y's Welcome Center.

• $15 non-refundable / non-transferable deposit per week of registration

• Financial Assistance is available through our Open Doors Scholarship

Weekly Themes

Week 1: June 1-June 5: You got a Friend in Me
This week will be filled with getting to know our campers, introducing our staff and fun getting to know you games. Group team names, Ice Breakers, Group Chants, etc. It will be happening this week.

Week 2: June 8-June 12: Move and Groove for Summer Camp
During this week, Campers will be able to show off their coolest dance move with groovy music and will learn how dance is a form of fun exercise.

Week 3: June 15- June 19: Are you Brave Enough to Bug Out with Nature?
During this week, Campers will get to explore how Nature is filled with beautiful and creepy crawling bugs and learn how important they are to Earth.

Week 4: June 22-June 26: Oh, The Places We Will Go
This week we will be traveling all around the world. Learning cool games other countries play and fun art projects to learn more about how neat the other countries that belong to our planet Earth are. So, get ready, sit back and enjoy the RIDE.

Week 5: June 29-July 2: Let there be RED, WHITE and BLUE
It will only be a 4-day week of Camp… But don’t worry because we will be Celebrating the 4th of July early with fun games and Red, White and Blue arts and crafts.

Week 6: July 6-July 10: Let’s Tie Dye the Competition
This week will be filled with age group competitions. We will be splitting our Campers evenly by their appropriate age groups and playing fun, creative activities to play against one another. These activities will be fun and safe for both campers and staff to enjoy.

Week 7: July 13-July 17: Hakuna Matata, It Means No Worries It’s Cartoon Week
Campers not only will be able to dress up as their favorite characters… but we will be playing fun interactive games and making art crafts, some popular Disney movies and Disney theme music. So, let’s Hakuna Matata for this week.
 

Week 8: July 20-July 24: Campers Got Talent
Hope these wonderful campers are ready to show off their awesome Talents… Because all of the staff and other campers are ready to see them. This week will be filled with fun games, fun art and a talent show at the end of the week.

Week 9: July 27-July 31: Let’s Get Sporty
This week will be filled with endless sports games and Go Team activities. The campers and staff will we cheering on teams, making fun team banners with their age groups and wearing their favorite sports team colors.

Week 10: August 3-August 7: Everyday We’re Puzzling
Puzzles, abstract art, and Challenging games Oh My! Let’s put these smart campers’ brains to the test during this week.

Week 11: August 10-August 14: Getting Totally Rad with Our 80’s Mixtapes
We will be taking it back to the 80’s this week, with fun 80’s music, 80’s themed games and TOTALLY RAD 80’s crafts.

Week 12: August 17-August 21: We Will See Ya Later, Alligators
This week we will be saying our goodbyes as summer camp comes to an end. All campers and staff will be working together and looking back at all the fun times they had during the summer.
 

CAMP FACTS

• Y Summer Day Camp is for children ages 5-13 

• All sites are HHS or TDH licensed

• All staff pass background checks

• All staff are CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens Certified

• Child must be signed in and out daily by a parent or guardian with ID

• Morning & afternoon snack provided 

• Lunch is provided at several sites through the USDA Summer Food Program - check the website for locations 

• Your child will be busy all day, please leave all valuables at home including but not limited to cell phones, electronics, iPods, trading cards, etc
