Camps

Best Summer Ever

To deliver on the Y’s commitment to empowering the potential of every child, our program helps campers discover what they are passionate about, form healthy relationships, and obtain a sense of belonging.

Summer camp at the Y invites youth to be inspired through creative play, field trips, sports, and more. It is an opportunity for young people to stay engaged socially and academically.

The Y’s door is open to all, regardless of age, ability, faith, gender, or income, will have the opportunity to experience camp. The Y offers financial assistance to families who may otherwise not be able to afford to send their child to camp.

Week 2: Around the World!
Explore countries around the globe. During this week, campers will ride through a week of different traditions, celebrations, and more than anything getting to know what our world looks like and possibly learn where our campers come from.

Week 3: Where the Y’d things go?
This week, we will explore the safari & learn about different types of animals. The jungle is filled with many different views, animals, scenery, plants, etc. We hope to incorporate this into our week and show our campers the side of the jungle they haven’t seen.

May the 4th be with you!
The 4th week calls for a week filled with space activities, as well as including a bit of baby Yoda, Chewbacca, along with other star wars characters. We will be doing out-of-this-world arts & craft creations, unique STEM projects, and lots more!

Week 5: Party in the U.S.A.
The title explains itself! It will only be a celebration week. We will be celebrating the 4th of July with Red, White, & Blue arts, activities, and games.

Week 6: Spirit Week
We will be able to show off our spirit during week 6! We will ask the staff as well as our campers to participate in different spirit week challenges such as crazy sock day, crazy hair day, cool sunglasses day, etc. Along with some fun activities along the way to bring our campers closer together.

Week 7: The Masked Heroes
Superhero week is always a hit! With COVID hitting us this year, we’ve decided to switch it up a bit and also incorporate all types of cartoon characters, as well as give respect to those masked heroes such as our doctors, firefighters, police officers, etc.

Week 8: Mystical Magic
Everyone loves magic! Campers will have a magical time at our summer camp during this week while incorporating magical & wizards. From magic shows to Harry Potter, this week features a variety of fun, fizzing, bubbling, foaming, and mysterious hands-on science and engineering activities that you can tie in with favorite stories about wizards and magic.

Week 9: Y’s Got Talent
Campers always enjoy a good talent show! Our campers and staff will be able to show off some of their talents, skills, or dance moves during this week. Different art activities, STEM projects, and games will be incorporated throughout the week leading up to the talent show.

Week 10: Shark Week
This week will be filled with “marine” life activities, games, and art projects! Games such as sharks and minnows, art projects such as creating shark teeth for our little ones, and activities such as making the ocean and the way you see it with supplies such as gel, glitter, etc.
