Children with disabilities will learn fundamental water safety and swimming skills in a safe, inclusive environment. Using an evidence-based curriculum, Y Swim Lessons are designed to teach children basic water safety skills and introduce a family education component that reinforces learning at home.
• Adaptive swim lessons offered in a supportive group setting.
• Designed for children and youth with cognitive or physical disabilities.
• Focused on water safety, comfort in the water, and foundational stroke development.
• Led by nationally certified swim instructors.
*Prior to the start of the first lesson, a phone call by the aquatics department to set up a pre-meeting date in person.
