What is my Home Location?

Your "Home location" is the YMCA branch you visit most


How do I add my membership barcode?

• Click on the barcode icon on the top right-hand corner of the app

• Click on Add Barcode

• Scan or enter your YMCA barcode number (from your YMCA membership ID card) in the barcode text box. If you cannot find this     
  information, please contact the Welcome Desk for assistance. Scan tags may also be added to an I-Phone Apple Wallet.


Can I add more than one barcode?

Yes, you can add additional barcodes for other family members by clicking the icon (top right-hand corner). Then, follow the steps above.

How do I turn on APP notifications for facility updates & weather related emergencies?

The YMCA of Greater San Antonio uses the mobile app to send important notifications regarding emergencies, weather-related closings, delayed openings, and/or other updates regarding our facilities! However, your mobile app notification settings must be turned on in order to receive these alerts.

Your smartphone device controls your notification settings, but please note: settings may vary by device. For specific instructions about your device, please contact your service provider.

iPhone:

• Open the Settings app on your iOS device

• Click on Notifications

• Scroll down and click on the YMCA SATX Mobile App

• Tap the switch to 'Allow Notifications' to turn notifications on or off.
 

Android:

• Open the Settings app on your device

• Click on Notifications

• Click on See All

• Scroll down to the YMCA SATX Mobile App

• Tap the switch to 'Allow Notifications' to turn notifications on or off


How do I book a group exercise class reservation on the App?

For safety reasons, classes will be limited based on space. Class reservations will open 48 hours in advance. View our how-to-video here or follow the steps below. You can also reserve your spot at your branch’s welcome desk.
 

• Go to the Schedules tile

• Confirm the YMCA location where you would like to book a reservation, listed at the top of the screen. You can edit the location by selecting the magnifying glass symbol at the bottom of your screen

• Browse the classes listed in chronological order

• Click on the class name you would like to reserve a spot in (Reservations open 48 hours in advance)

  • Select the blue “book now” button at the bottom of your screen

  • A message will appear stating you successfully enrolled in the class. Additionally, you will receive a confirmation email.


Optional: Click on the Add to Calendar icon to add the class to your default personal calendar after completing your reservation. We also suggest if you cancel a class reservation, you remember to delete it from your calendar to avoid any confusion.


 

When do reservations for a given class, close?

If a class is not already full, reservations may be made up until the time that the class starts. You can reserve your spot via the YMCA app, website, or at your branch’s welcome desk.


How do I confirm my class reservation on the App? 

You will receive a confirmation email when you first sign up for the class, but you can confirm each class in the app based on whether a cancelation button is present.

• Click on the class name you would like to confirm your spot in

• If you have registered for a class, a Cancel Now button will appear in place of the Book Now button


How do I cancel my class reservation on the App?

It is important to cancel your reservation if you can no longer attend a class. This allows other members to reserve a spot and participate in class and it provides our instructors with an accurate headcount. Class reservations can be canceled up to the class start time. You can also cancel your reservation at your branch’s welcome desk.

 

• Go to the Schedules tile

• Confirm the YMCA location you’d like to book a reservation at is listed at the top of the screen. You can edit the location by selecting the
   magnifying glass symbol at the bottom of your screen

• Browse the classes listed in chronological order

• Click on the class name you would like to cancel your spot in

• If you have registered for a class, a Cancel Now button will appear in place of the Book Now button

• Click on Cancel Now

• Click Yes to cancel

• A message will appear confirming your cancellation

• If you added a reminder for this class in your personal calendar, remember to delete that calendar event also to avoid confusion


If a class in full, can I add my name to a waitlist?

We are not offering a waitlist at this time.


Is there a place where I can see all the classes I signed up for on the App?

• While there is not currently a personalized class reservation list or schedule within the app, you do receive email confirmations for each class you signed up for, so you can search within your email box for GroupExPRO.com or Class Reservation to view the complete list.

• We’d like to suggest using the Add to Calendar feature to keep track of the classes you have reserved a spot in on your personal calendar


What can I expect when I arrive for class?

We request participants arrive 5 minutes before the start of class so that you have time to check-in, set up your equipment, and be prepared when class begins. For safety reasons, classes will be limited based on space and equipment will not be available. Please be prepared to bring your own yoga mat, sweat towel, water bottle, etc.


What happens if I am late for a class?

Late arrivals will have forfeited their spot even if they have a reservation. No one is permitted into a class after the class has started.


Where can I find facility hours on the App? 

• Click on your initials or profile photo in the upper left-hand corner

• Click on Locations

• Click on the Hours tab


How do I edit my profile on the App?

• Click on your initials (or profile photo if you added one) in the upper left-hand corner

• Click on the initials (or profile photo if you added one) again to edit your profile

• Enter/edit your information

• Please note: Your gender, height, and weight are used to calculate the calories burned during your recorded workouts. This information is
  not accessible to staff.


I don't want my workouts shared on the activity feed on the App. How do I change that? 

Please note: Privacy settings for sharing your workout activities and achievements with other members of the Y within the Activity Feed & Challenge Leaderboards is automatically defaulted to "public" upon sign up. 
 

To change your Privacy Settings:

• Click on your initials or profile photo in the upper left-hand corner

• Click on Settings

• Click on Privacy

• Select the option of your choice:

• Select "Public" if you would like your activities and achievements to be shared with other members of the Y within the Activity Feed     
  Challenge Leaderboards.

• Select "Private" if you do not wish any of your activities or achievements to be shared with other members.

How do I book a group exercise class reservation on the web?

• Navigate to Schedules on our website

• Filter through location, category, and dates as needed

• Scroll to browse classes (listed in chronological order)

• If a class requires a reservation, a Sign-Up link will appear next to the Calendar icon 

Click on Sign Up under the class name you would like to reserve a spot in

• If you are not logged into GXP (Group Ex Pro), you will be prompted to enter your GXP login info

• If this is your first time booking a class reservation, click on the Create a Login tab to register. We recommend using the same email and
  password you used when setting up your account on the app.

• After logging in, you can click on the Reserve a Spot button

• Optional: Click on the Add to Calendar icon to add the class to your default personal calendar after completing your reservation.
  The default alert is set to 30 minutes prior to class time (alert settings can be adjusted within your personal calendar if needed). We also   
  suggest if you cancel a class reservation, you remember to delete it from your calendar to avoid any confusion.


How do I cancel my class reservation on the web?

Navigate to Schedules on our website

• Filter through location, category, and dates as needed

• Scroll to browse classes (listed in chronological order)

• Click on Sign Up for the class name you reserved a spot in

• If you are not logged into GXP, you will be prompted to enter your login info

• If you have registered for a class, it will say: "You have reserved a spot in the class. You are currently signed up to attend this class." A Cancel Reservation button will appear in place of the Reserve a Spot button.

Click on Cancel Reservation

Click OK

• If you added a reminder for this class in your personal calendar, remember to delete that also to avoid confusion.
