The South Texas Regional Adaptive and Para Sports (STRAPS) program, part of the Hartman Family YMCA, empowers athletes ages 5 and up with physical disabilities and visual impairments to train, compete, and thrive in both recreational and competitive adaptive sports. In a high-performance, supportive environment, athletes build teamwork, confidence, discipline, and perseverance while pushing their limits and achieving meaningful goals.
Practices are held at the Hartman Family YMCA Sports Complex, known as Morgan’s Sports, located just four miles from the San Antonio Area Medical Center (SAAMC) and the Center for the Intrepid (CFI). STRAPS offers adaptive and Paralympic-style sports designed to challenge, motivate, and elevate athletes of all abilities. Whether you’re just getting started or striving for the next level of competition, STRAPS provides the opportunity, community, and coaching to help you grow, compete, and succeed.
