ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS
Active Older Adults at the Y- The YMCA of Greater San Antonio offers our active older adults an opportunity to increase their physical activity, enjoy social interaction, and learn healthy lifestyle skills. Active Older Adults programs include water exercise, day trips, gentle yoga and more.
Silver Sneakers Participants- Silver Sneakers allows our older adults to take charge of their health by participating in physical activities. Classes offer our seniors low impact and joint friendly sessions involving cardio, flexibility, strength training, and coordination exercises. Lightweights, elastic tubing, and stability balls are incorporated with an opportunity for modification based on ability. Classes are FREE for members.
Note: Some insurance providers will cover a Senior's monthly membership fees as a preventative health benefit. Consult your provider to find out if you qualify. To learn more about the various health plans available to you, please visit the Welcome Center.

PILATES REFORMER STUDIO
The main focus of Pilates is the core postural muscles, the center of the body referred to as the “Powerhouse”. Pilates Reformer classes consist of a small group, personalized instruction, and the use of springs, straps, and a moving carriage to provide a variety of exercises.

TRX+Fundamentals: Designed for members looking to get started on their fitness journey (or for those who are new to TRX Functional Training). TRX+ Fundamentals arms participants with the experience and confidence to progress into more specialized and advanced TRX+ classes.
TRX+Cardio Fusion: Designed for members who want a fast-paced class that will help them work up a sweat, tone up, and lose weight. TRX+ Cardio Fusion offers all the movement-enhancing benefits with an emphasis on cardio, while seamlessly integrating a wider range of functional training methods.
TRX+Strength: Designed for members who want a strength-focused workout that will help build power and increase performance. TRX+ classes emphasize the development of quality functional strength while increasing lean muscle mass.
