The information below is subject to change at any time. To ensure members’ health and safety, as well as the enjoyment of our facilities, we are implementing the following safety protocols to reduce health risks to our members, program participants, volunteers, and staff.

What the Y is Doing

  • PPE for All Staff: All staff will be required to wear masks and other personal protective equipment.

  • Self-Scan: Members will be asked to self-scan to allow for limited contact entry.

How We’re Asking Members to Help Maintain Safety

Y staff will be stationed throughout the facility to assist with disinfecting equipment and to answer questions regarding new guidelines. The YMCA appreciates members’ adherence to the following safety precautions during their visits:

  • Masks Update

The YMCA will not require proof of vaccination. Please continue to wear a mask if you are not fully vaccinated out of respect to other members and staff around you.

  • Stay Home if You’re Sick: Members should stay home if they don’t feel well. The CDC and state public health officials encourage seniors and members of vulnerable populations, including those with underlying health conditions, to stay at home.

  • Bring a Towel, a Mask, and a Water Bottle: Members will be asked to bring their own water bottle and a workout towel (towel services will not be provided).

  • Keep Your Distance: Please exercise on designated equipment only and respect all signage regarding social distancing. Strive to maintain at least six feet between you and others whenever possible.

  • Class Reservations: To ensure proper social distancing, reservations are required for all group exercise classes, pools & gymnasiums. Class reservations will open three days in advance. There is a waitlist available that will auto-assign if there is a cancellation. To learn how to make your reservation, visit our How-Tos & FAQs

  • Remember to  Wipe Down Equipment:  Please help us reduce the risk of exposure by wiping down all equipment, weights, etc. with the provided cleaning materials. In addition, the Y will be closing each facility for two hours every day for a deep cleaning.
